For some reason, no one seems to be satisfied with the hair God gave them. In the 70’s and 80’s it was curly hair people wanted. In the 90’s and ’00’s it was straight hair that was desired. So what’s going to be the trend of the next two decades? Well, it appears that wearing hair weaves are becoming all the rage.
So what are hair weaves exactly? Well, they are a hair piece that is similar to a wig, but the difference is that weaves are either glued or sewn into your existing hair (hence, the name “weave”). Here’s what Josie of the company Quick Weave had to say about them:

“Hair weaves and quick weaves were first made popular in the urban culture but today this craze has spread to suburban America. The reason they’re so popular is because they allow a woman to achieve any hair style she wants. For example, hair relaxers are only so effective at straightening hair. But with a quick weave, anyone can achieve that sleek, smooth hair that celebs like Jennifer Aniston and Beyonce are known for.”

Interesting enough, Josie conveniently forgot to mention of all the drawbacks involved with hair weaves. Not only are they expensive, but they take a lot of work to attach and maintain.
